Just got off the phone with Torrance. His ravings about secret groups named STAB don't seem so absurd anymore.
He reminded me that he tried to warn us. I accused him of being in on it.
That's when he got really upset and told me he didn't want this to happen, that it might be his fault, but he wasn't in on the kidnapping. He might have led them to us.
He was so distraught that I think he was telling the truth.
He definitely knows more than he's telling, though, because he refused to answer my questions about why they would want Lina in particular and for what purpose.
Anyway, he offered to help me find her, and hopefully rescue her.
I told him I would think about it.
