Fran has opened up a bit more and told us of an incident in her past. This is a rather short entry since she doesn't remember that much. It happened when she was young.
Ms. Fields' father and mother were, unfortunately, killed by something that seemed a man yet wasn't. It was once quite human, but had been turned into something else. She once heard it referred to as a "Camper," though isn't sure why it is called such. A Camper is turned by a water monster of sorts, she said. It would act like ordinary water, indistinguishable from the real thing, and take over someone who drank it or otherwise came into contact with it. It would cause the victim to become part of a sort of hive mind and eventually lose all humanity and memory of what they once were, to be replaced by something unnatural.
In hindsight, she is kind of glad her parents were killed instead of actually becoming one with the hive mind.
